SHOULD I SEARCH ON ZILLOW? There are so many sites – which we believe is a great service for home buyers. However, not all are created equal. In the Wichita area, not all brokers have a partnership with Zillow, so if that is your primary search site, there will be listings you aren’t seeing. Second, listings can take days to be loaded onto Zillow’s system – which may be the difference between getting a house or not.
SHOULD I WORK WITH AN AGENT? Sellers on the MLS will have an agent working on their behalf. This is an advantage for negotiating, marketing, and writing contracts. We recommend buyers have the same support – do not leave yourself at a disadvantage. Even if you choose to work with someone else, please seriously consider letting a realtor be a trusted advisor in your home search. If that wasn’t enough, a buyer’s agent is no cost for the buyer and doesn’t change the price of a house! As Michael Scott would say, WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN!
